Bauer Media is a section of the Bauer Media Group which is the largest privately owned Publishing group within Europe. Bauer is a worldwide company with over 300 magazines in 15 different countries, as well as online, television and radio stations. The headquarters of Bauer is based in Hamburg, Germany. Even though
Bauer is based in Germany, the company serves USA, China, Russia along with Europe.

Bauer media joined the Bauer Media group in 2008 following acquisition of Emap plc's consumer and specialist magazines, radio, tv, online and digital businesses. Collectively, the group employs around 6,400 people.

Bauer publishes well known magazines within media such as Kerrang! the most famous rock magazine, Heat, the weekly celebrity gossip and Match, a magazine all about football.Bauer Media Group has a 50% stake in the British television company Box Television, the other half owned by Channel 4. Box Television acts as the content subsidiary that produces several popular music television channel, this includes:
